Purovitalis partners with Muhdo for a combined DNA + epigenetic age test: you can discover your biological age (how “old” your body is) relative to chronological age.

What does it test?

  • Your DNA (genetic baseline)

  • Epigenetic markers (modifications on DNA that change over time with environment, lifestyle)

  • Biomarkers like inflammation, “memory age,” eye age, etc.

Why use it?
This can give you insight into how your cells are aging compared to your calendar age. It can help you see how lifestyle, supplements, and interventions might be slowing or reversing biological aging.

How do you take it?

  • Likely a saliva or cheek swab (rather than blood) — typical for epigenetic / DNA testing kits.

  • Register your kit, collect your sample according to instructions, and mail it back. (The Muhdo kit instructions include saliva collection & registration steps.)

How long until results?

  • DNA results often come in ~4 weeks

  • Epigenetic results may take up to ~8 weeks

How do you interpret the results?
You’ll get your “biological age,” “memory age,” “eye age,” etc. If your biological age is younger than your chronological age, your body is “younger” than your calendar years. If it's older, it suggests accelerated aging. The report often suggests lifestyle, diet, supplement, and exercise interventions tailored to you.

Any precautions or limitations?

  • Epigenetic age is influenced by many factors: diet, stress, sleep, pollution, disease, etc. It’s not deterministic.

  • Some variation is normal — don’t make radical decisions based on a single test.

  • These tests typically provide guidance, not clinical diagnoses. Always consult health professionals for decisions.

Comparison Table & Tips

Test Kit

Sample Type

Purpose

Best For

Timing & Repeatability

Vitamin D Test

Finger-prick blood

Assess vitamin D status

People suspecting deficiency, optimizing supplementation

Repeat every few months or after intervention

NAD+ Test

Finger-prick blood

Measure cellular NAD+ level

Users of NAD boosters, metabolic health tracking

Can retest periodically (e.g. every few months)

Biological / Epigenetic Age

Saliva / DNA sample

Assess biological vs chronological age

Longevity tracking, lifestyle optimization

Retest after 6–12 months to track changes

General Tips:

  • Follow kit instructions carefully (e.g. no eating/drinking before sample, proper sealing).

  • Register the kit / barcode if required (some tests require you link sample to your account).

  • Use the results as guidance, not absolute truth. Lifestyle, supplementation, and medical oversight should complement them.

  • Don’t over-interpret minor fluctuations — trends over time matter more.
